Point Option Science Teacher Receives Grant
Renee Raspanti received a $1750 grant from the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association at their monthly luncheon on 2/24/11. The ceremony was held at the Officer's Club at Langley AFB. The grant will be used to purchase hand-held GPS units and other science and technology supplies at Point Option.

The Point Option School program offers a unique opportunity for students to experience teaching and learning in a non-traditional way. It also offers students of ability and determination a "second chance" to recapture credits and/or to accelerate their graduation in order to enter the workforce or post-secondary education.

As a teaching and learning community, Point Option emphasizes personal responsibility and self-reliance as keys to student success.  The Point Option School is dedicated to the education of the whole person – student and citizen.
